Day's End - #57 - Original Watercolor Painting

In this painting, the focus is on a beautiful early evening sunset. The boatmen are pulling their boats up onto shore to keep them safe overnight. This painting was born and developed in my imagination.

Country Church - #56 - Original Watercolor Painting

This is a painting of a country church in Normandy, France. I love the texture in the old walls and the green field and dark trees which frame the buildings. I saw this church from the window of a coach on a highway, and knew it would make a great subject.

Heading In - #55 - Original Watercolor Painting

Here is another painting of the harbor at Rockland, Maine.  There are so many picturesque scenes there for someone who is drawn to boats and the sea.  The building on the pier on the right is a restaurant.  The dock on the left is a working dock.

The Old Guard - #54 - Original Watercolor Painting

This painting was inspired by some seascapes that I love by two other artists. I decided to teach myself to draw these old ships, and to place them in picturesque settings. I hope to do a series of this sort of painting.

If you're interested in purchasing this 7.5" x 11" painting, or any other of my weekly watercolor landscape paintings for $100 including shipping, or if you'd like to see more of my paintings, please visit my Weekly Watercolor website.

Red Rock Wash - #53 - Original Watercolor Painting

This painting is based on an area I explored in Sedona, Arizona. These "washes", or dry river beds, in the desert areas out west are bone dry most of the year, but can quickly fill with water during a rainstorm. This one had the red earth color typical of the Sedona area.

If you're interested in purchasing this 7.5" x 11" painting, or any other of my weekly watercolor paintings for $100 including shipping, or if you'd like to see more of my paintings, please visit my Weekly Watercolor website.  I've made one major change to this website to accommodate this year's paintings.  I've moved some of my oldest weekly watercolors to a second gallery page.  Those paintings are still available to buy for $100.
